All of the Reasons to Stick Around for 'The Naked Gun' Credits

The Naked Gun has hit the theaters, fueled by the new Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson romance.

But it's the end credits that people are talking about on social media. Is there a post-credits scene in the The Naked Gun? Yes. Let's put it this way, though: There's a lot to stick around for, and that's only part of it.

"The Naked Gun end credits were absolutely insane," a fan wrote on X.

'The Naked Gun' Post Credits Scene Shows an Internal Affairs Party

There are two formal post-credits scenes, but there are also a lot of gags inserted into the credits themselves.

In addition, Neeson sings a song that is an ode to Anderson's character, Beth. It's called "My Sweet Beth," and it plays throughout most of the credits.

In the first post-credits scene, Neeson's boss announces at a press conference that there will be an investigation into his actions leading up to him saving the world. Then movie then cuts to a scene showing an internal affairs party, complete with a pool. Neeson and Anderson are in this scene, but everyone and everything else then freezes in it, while they continue interacting. The second end-credits scene shows the top of a police squad as it drives through the city, hitting people on sidewalks.

However, what's in the credits themselves is getting more attention.

The Credits Contain Jokes & Even a Song

For example, the show's Netflix password makes an appearance in the credits. People have been sharing screenshots of their favorite jokes in the credits.

The director Akiva Schaffer told Entertainment Weekly that the song was a "last-minute idea."

"I always knew I needed to do something in the credits, and finally we were picture-locked and we were in the edit room and I just [recorded the song] into my laptop, put it in the movie, and two hours later we screened it and it did really well," he explains. "Then I replaced [my vocals] with Liam… I'm very pleased that we got that in at the buzzer, that we snuck in there."

One screenshot shows advice about what to do in the case of a tornado.

The credits also contained an entire eye chart.

One fan noted that the credit jokes are continuing a tradition from the original movie, writing, "Excited to watch The Naked Gun reboot. Especially looking forward to the end credits gags. In the original 1988 Leslie Nielsen film, cast members with only one line were listed by their dialogue and not character name."

The movie continues the tradition of the original with Neeson playing a Police Squad detective who unravels a plot to destroy the world.

Anderson plays a femme fatale who develops a romance with Neeson's character after her brother is murdered. Priscilla Presley, who played Anderson's role in the original movie, has a very short cameo appearance.

'The Naked Gun' Song in the Credits Contains Lyrics About Beth Davenport's Physical Appearance

The credits' song contains lyrics like:

How can one not with lyrics like: "Beth, ooooh / Top-shelf curves, and brains to boot / And boots that would top my brain's top-10 list / Aboot boots, and the curvy brains that bought them...My sweet Beth."

"I thought, yeah, sure," Neeson told Entertainment Weekly of the song. "It's not supposed to be Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett, so we had a bit of fun with it."

Different types of salad dressing also make the final credits.

The movie hit the theaters the first week of August 2025.
