Our team has found plenty of availability for flights to Zurich, Switzerland, from several U.S. airports for just 60,000 points each way.

With wide-open award availability round-trip, this may be the best time to book a summer trip to Europe or a Swiss ski vacation this winter! Let’s check out the details.

Award Deal — Details

We are seeing wide-open availability in each direction, flying lie-flat business class on SWISS starting at 60,000 points when booking via Air Canada Aeroplan.

There are also options in economy for just 35,000 points if you don’t mind flying in the back of the plane on this nonstop, 8-hour flight.

  • Class: Business
  • Booking program: Aeroplan
  • Airline: SWISS
  • Route: Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), New York-Kennedy (JFK), Newark (EWR), and Washington D.C. (IAD) to Zurich (ZRH)

  • Travel dates: August 2025 to April 2026

With availability for up to 7 passengers in business class on some dates, this is a great chance to visit Switzerland or use its central location as a jumping-off point to explore Europe through the end of the year.

There are also rare dates available to Geneva (GVA), but most availability right now is to Zurich.

You can check a tool like Seats.aero to see numerous dates and routes at once, then head to Aeroplan to book once you’ve found something you like.

How To Book

We generally recommend booking these award flights through Aeroplan. You’ll pay 60,000 points plus about $57.50 per person on flights like New York-Kennedy (JFK) to Zurich (ZRH).

If you’re flying from the central or western part of the U.S., you’ll pay slightly more at 70,000 points per person. Here’s an example from Los Angeles (LAX) to Zurich:

Some routes are available through Avianca LifeMiles, paying anywhere from 63,000 to 80,000 miles per person. Pricing depends on routes and whether you have a connecting flight, based on what happened in a recent devaluation.

It’s also possible to pay 100,000 ANA Mileage Club miles per person round-trip (round-trip bookings are required) or pay 80,000 to 88,000 United MileagePlus miles per person one-way. The cheaper price is available if you have United elite status or a United credit card.

No matter how you book, there is currently wide-open availability each way in economy and business class. Availability runs through April 2026, so you can play around with dates to find the best itinerary.

The good thing about Aeroplan points is that you can quickly (and easily) transfer from Amex Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One miles, and Chase Ultimate Rewards to Air Canada Aeroplan at a 1:1 rate. Finally, you can even transfer from Marriott Bonvoy at a 3:1 ratio if you are in a pinch.

Our free transfer partner calculator is an excellent tool for discovering where you can use your points and miles.
