Pennsylvania’s whiskey lovers, collectors, and hopeful flippers — your favorite game of chance is back.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s summer 2025 limited-release lottery is officially open, giving eligible residents and licensees a shot at purchasing some of the rarest and most sought-after bourbons and whiskeys in the country — including a $7,499.99 Weller Millennium Straight Bourbon.
Registration for the lottery opened Monday morning and will remain live through 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8. The drawings will be conducted the week of Aug. 11, with winners — and non-winners — notified in the weeks following.
This round features nine lotteries in total, with limits of one bottle per household per lottery. Entrants can opt into any or all of the drawing categories through the Fine Wine & Good Spirits lottery page. As always, the prize is not a free bottle, but the chance to buy one.

How to enter
To register, you must:
- Be a Pennsylvania resident or licensee, age 21 or older.
- Have a Fine Wine & Good Spirits account with a verified Pennsylvania billing address.
- Have an active credit card on file.
- Choose your pickup location at a FW&GS store when registering.
Only one entry is allowed per household, per lottery. Payment is automatically processed if you’re selected. If it fails, you forfeit the bottle. No second chances.
Winners must show a valid photo ID and email receipt when picking up their bottle in person — no proxies allowed.
A collector’s dream — or a reseller’s jackpot?
These lotteries are known to attract thousands of entries for just a handful of bottles, especially for the ultrarare or ultraexpensive offerings. The Weller Millennium’s nearly $7,500 price tag makes it one of the priciest bottles ever offered in a PA state lottery.
The PLCB reminds all participants: reselling a lottery bottle without a license is illegal in Pennsylvania.
Don’t miss your shot
If you want in, act fast. Once registration closes at 5 p.m. on Aug. 8, you won’t be able to update your information — and any incorrect payment or account issues could cost you your prize.
More details, including full terms and a breakdown of each bottle, are available at FWGS.com.
Good luck. May the bourbon odds be ever in your favor.
